Delete Your Account and Data

You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains how.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app
- Open The Oakville Guide on your device.
- Sign in with your account.
- Tap your profile icon to open Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account, then confirm.
Your account will be removed immediately, and the associated data will be scheduled for permanent deletion within 30 days.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed, or cannot sign in, email us:
- To: andrewcostarealty@gmail.com
- Subject: Delete my account
- From: The email address associated with your account (required so we can verify ownership)
Please send the request from the same email you used to create the account. This prevents anyone else from deleting your account on your behalf.
What gets deleted
We will permanently delete the following within 30 calendar days of your request:
- Your email address and authentication record
- Your saved favourite listings
- Your push-notification device token(s)
- Any other account-linked preferences
What we retain
We may retain minimal records required by law or for legitimate business purposes, for example:
- Server logs that do not personally identify you (kept up to 90 days for security and abuse prevention)
- Aggregated, anonymized statistics that cannot be linked back to you
- Records we are legally required to keep (tax, fraud prevention, etc.)
We do not retain any data that would allow us to re-identify a deleted account.
Third-party listing data
The Oakville Guide displays real estate listing information supplied by PropTX / TRREB. That data is not personal information about you, is not generated by your account, and is unaffected by account deletion.
